No, this is not an attempt to be sarcastic or blasphemous, church business is good business, it is a lucrative business, can I get an amen?

Anything that sells hope and miracles and the possibility of the unattainable is good business. 

The world is a dreary desolate place, we are fighting each other, living off each other and forever trying to edge out each other. It is hard , very hard to survive in the world, we all need some hope, something extraordinary, some miracle , we all need something to hold on to, to believe in , to help us get through every day, and that is what pastorpreneurs tap into and take advantage of. 

Don't get me wrong , there is actually the possibility of some few genuine ones out there who believe in something and whose sole aim is to touch lives and impact the world. Unfortunately my main focus is on so-called men of God who open churches for the money, for the business, for the offerings, tithes and seed sowing. For them it is not about winning souls or worshipping God, it is about making bank.

When they start out , they make sure they are unmarried and unattached to any member of the opposite sex thereby leaving that door ajar for lots of single ladies who are 'mummy GO' hopefuls to swarm in. These ladies will cook, do their chores and laundry, refill their kitchen pantry with groceries, buy them new clothes and help with bringing more souls to their growing flock.

They stay in front of the mirror to practice their walk, their talk, their mannerisms. They practice till it is part of them and as trivial as this might seem, it is very necessary, infact it's importance cannot be overemphasized. Look around you , all the big names in the church business today, they all have their peculiar ways as to which they preach, pray, talk and lay hands on people. 

Their wardrobe has to be impeccable, I mean what do you expect? You cannot expect them to preach prosperity and success while they wear shabby suits and cheap ties. They need to dress and look the part, their cars have to testify of the goodness of God in their lives, their shoes should make people want to spread gold dust on the floor so they never get dirty, gone are the days when preachers believed their reward was in heaven alone. 

They have to be on television , on major social media sites, attention whores; these pastorpreneurs. Of course they'd explain it away as just trying to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth never mind that they preach more about giving and prosperity instead of salvation.
Never mind that the preachers and missionaries of old actually dusted their bibles and went on very difficult journeys to far away places to preach the world , never mind that the most hidden places that need to hear the gospel have no televisions or the internet.

These people actually study and research as you are wont to do when you want to embark on a business venture. They study their demographic, the people, the most pressing need of the community and they take advantage of it. Some of them have their headquarters close to university campuses, they lure in students who are desperate for outstanding results, they slyly cajole them to sow their tuition and pocket money so as to pass or blindside a difficult lecturer. 

They always start with the poor communities, you know those places filled with traders and students, places rife with suffering, hard work and sheer desperation. They build their base from there before spreading their tentacles. 

Churches do not pay tax Yes you read me right, they do not pay tax to the government, every dime they get is theirs to keep. Basically, a person herds people together, creates a message, creates a strong following, these people build him a church and furnish it with whatever he needs, these people break themselves into units to clean and maintain the church, then they gather round like four times a week to pool money and pay to the church in the name of offerings and tithes, oh and the church is usually registered by this person.. money keeps coming , church keeps growing with no questions asked and nothing is being payed out to the government. 

So you have a business where profit comes in daily without any tangible product being churned out and no sort of responsibility to the government.
